Spring Burn Time!

I had the great fortune to be able to tag along two steps behind DNR  staff during spring burn time at Pyramid State Park last week.
There is just something very primal about the huge walls of fire and ash racing across the prairie. After the fire has passed I can barely wait to get into the burned areas and see what has been revealed. For me the burns are a true sign that spring has arrived.

Yeah they do that alot around here too. I know it has a purpose, but it worries me, so we haven't done it yet...our hay field comes to close to our house for me to be comfy with the idea. I'm sure DH would like to though. :(

Impressive photographs. Scary. I don't think I have left a comment before, but I really love your blog.
